Hi there, and welcome to MiGS, a lifestyle brand first, and an apparel and “things” shop second. Founded in 2017 by Marc Salvador, MiGS was first created as a motivational and inspirational blog focused on the LGBTQ+ community and breaking boundaries.
Throughout the years, Marc faced challenges in the workplace that broke down layers and layers of confidence and pride in being an openly Gay, Asian male, in a heteronormative, white society. Being told to be and dress more “manly” and to not be “overly expressive” as “clients aren’t used to it and may feel uncomfortable doing business” with an openly gay associate was the final straw.
Then came MiGS, a blog for the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC community to break boundaries, be unapologetically themselves, and do so without being scared of the possible outcomes and consequences.
Fast forward to 2020 and a clothing line came to life.
The “I AM” Collection is one that is dear and near to our founders heart as here at MiGS we are all about empowering, encouraging, and supporting individuals in their life journeys, especially when it comes to personal and professional development.
We’re going back to our roots of blogging, but this time, highlighting those within our communities who have stories to tell and lives to impact and hopefully help change. Each month, we will feature individuals who exude the “I AM” branding and are inspirational to our brand as we continue to move forward.
